Dr. Pranab Das is presently working in TATA HOUSING as General Manager & Head Corporate Sustainability and CSR.Before joining TATA HOUSING, he had worked with TATA STEEL CSR division. He possesses a MBBS degree with MBA from XIM, Bhubaneswar. In last 15 years, he has led the CSR functions in various capacity in the TATA Group. During the tenure, he has worked in many critical social, rural development, resettlement and rehabilitation projects. He has rich experience of working at the grass root level particularly with tribal community. He has been instrumental in successful resettlement and rehabilitation project of TATA STEEL Kalinganagar project, achieved zero infant mortality for the displaced population during the resettlement project, successfully improved agriculture practices among thousands of tribal in Kalinganagar and one of the largest iron ore mining area at Joda, Odisha. He has empowered women by creating more than sixty successful enterprise run by SHGs. He has led the sustainability and CSR of journey of TATA HOUSING winning the outstanding accomplishment award from CII Sustainability. He is a CII sustainability and Affirmative Action senior assessor. He is part of many Core committees of UNDP, IFC, CII, Tata Group for affordable housing, sustainability and CSR assisting in formulating various policies.
