Role Players 2012

ANAND MORE

Director
Planning / Monitoring & Evaluation

Anand More has almost a decade of experience in the development sector at the grassroots and in managerial roles, most recently with the CSR wing of Glaxo SmithKline before joining Heroes Project earlier last year. Anand has worked with a number of international NGOs and corporate houses to facilitate social development. Sectors in which he has developed sustainable models include healthcare, education, poverty alleviation and housing. Adept at multitasking, Anand can handle complex, multiple projects simultaneously, with an eye to detail and accuracy in budgeting, accounting and project management.

Anand is proud of having initiated experimental projects which were eventually scaled-up successfully. He has played a vital role in establishing strong monitoring and evaluation processes across the projects and programmes he has facilitated. His work has brought him into close contact with NGO partners, industry leaders, corporate executives, politicians, bureaucrats and the media.

Anand has done his Masters in Social Work and Post-Graduation Diploma in Education Management from NMIMS, Mumbai. He has also acquired academic certifications from IGNOU and the Tata Institute of Social Science.

Anand is a certified Project Management Professional and pursued PMP certification in 2009 from the Project Management Institute (PMI®), and was actively involved in training and development activities for NGOs that were initiated by PMI in Mumbai. He serves as a liaison between the PMI Education Foundation and PMI's Mumbai Chapter.

Anand like to read inspirational and thought provoking writings and takes keen interest in debates and deliberations on various social issues. He also likes to play cricket; traveling to remote places is one of his favorite activities.
